Australia has implemented two new mandatory standards for infant products:<\/p>\n
Effective from July 19, 2024, this standard includes an 18-month transition period. It replaces existing standards for folding and household cots and establishes safety requirements for other infant sleep products.<\/p>\n
Infant sleep products such as household cots, folding cots and bassinets will have to meet specific requirements, and the general requirements. Other product categories will have to comply with the general requirements.<\/p>\n
Starting January 19, 2026, the following regulations will be revoked:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Effective January 19, 2026, this standard introduces new labeling requirements for infant products to provide clearer information to consumers. Products manufactured in New Zealand or Australia must display the manufacturer\u2019s name or trademark, along with the address.
