Australia and New Zealand have recently published the AS/NZS ISO 8124.1:2023 – which aims to clarify the acceptable criteria for mechanical characteristics and properties of toys.

The AS/NZS ISO 8124.1:2023 standard, titled «Safety of toys – Part 1: Safety aspects related to mechanical and physical properties. The new standard is aligned with ISO 8124.1:2022, which outlines the acceptable criteria for the structural characteristics and properties of toys.
In addition to AS/NZS ISO 8124.1:2019 Amd 2:2020. The new standard is set to replace previous version AS/NZS ISO 8124.1:2019 Amd 1:2020.
